Mine hunting boat hull class 332 / 333 / 343 / 352
The hull of the minehunters was used in many different ways by the Navy. The fast minesweepers of the Hameln Class 343 and the minehunters of the Frankethal Class 332 were originally built and put into service. As the Navy's range of tasks changed, some of the boats were decommissioned and others were converted. This resulted in the Ensdorf Class KL353, for example. The mine hunting boats of the Frankenthal class are still in service in various variations - KL332B / C / CL.
These are now equipped with an MLG 27mm instead of a FLAK / 40mm gun and are still in service. The many equipment variations make it difficult to decide on a class and so there are many different tastes who have certain preferences for specific body variants.
What is absolutely the same across all boats in the class, however, is the distinctive hull. This hull forms the basis of every current generation minesweeper or hunting boat.
The model
The hull is printed in 7 sections. This means that scales of any size can be printed. For RC operation we recommend the scale 1:40 or 1:50. - of course it can also be smaller.
At a scale of 1:40, the boat will be approximately 1360 mm long and approximately 230 mm wide. A print space of at least 235x235x235mm is required.
At a scale of 1:50, the boat will have a length of approx. 1088 mm and a width of approx. 184 mm. A print space of at least 200x200x200mm is required.
The model is printable with conventional PLA. However, we recommend something more "elastic" material, such as. PLA+. This has better flexibility and makes the boat less prone to breakage.
Attention: PLA and direct sunlight can cause deformation if exposed to heat for too long. Therefore, pay attention to the permanent location of your model or choose a more temperature-resistant filament.
our advantages
- This model is not designed for any specific scale. The standards given above are only a recommendation. We provide tables with the necessary fittings for these standards. RC operation also works at other scales, but you have to source your parts on your own. Please also note that the quality of detail varies as the scale increases. The smaller your model, the more details are lost.
- Any number of copies - Buy the product once and use it for your entire fleet within the household.
- Decide for yourself which materials you use for printing.
- You always have spare parts on hand and you don't have to spend time researching to find defective parts, even after years of operation.
- The limits of printing are determined by your 3D printer. The build space of your printer determines the maximum possible scale.
RC compatibility
The model is designed for use as an RC boat. Corresponding foundations for servos and motors are present in the fuselage and are sometimes printed into the structure as normal.
In the pictures you will find a table in which the boat is converted into different scales. For the scales 1:40 and 1:50 it is listed which dimensions are intended for any fittings.
Corresponding fittings for the boat must be purchased separately.
