The SS Nomadic is a 69-meter-long tender ship built in 1911. She has a long history and is known as "Titanic's little sister." The Nomadic was built at the same shipyard, Harland & Wolff in Belfast, as the Titanic and Olympic. In April 1911, she began her service as a tender ship in the French port of Cherbourg. Since the port of Cherbourg was not deep enough for the Olympic-class ships, the Nomadic, along with the SS Traffic, was used to transport passengers and goods embarking or disembarking in Cherbourg. For many years, the Nomadic served as a feeder vessel in the port of Cherbourg, also bringing passengers aboard the Queen Mary. Today, the Nomadic, the last remaining ship of the White Star Line, has found its home at the Titanic Museum in Belfast, located on the Harland & Wolff shipyard grounds.
 
 
 The model
 
 
 This set is a taster set. This means you'll receive a selection of components chosen by us. This will allow you to see if you're comfortable working with these components and 3D printing them. You can also get a tangible impression of the parts' quality.
 
 
 ATTENTION: If you intend to buy the complete boat, the parts should not be glued together, as you will later need to connect the hull section to the others, which will require sanding.
 
 
 The parts can be printed with standard PLA. However, we recommend a more flexible material, such as PLA+. This has better bendability and makes the boat less prone to breakage. Printing with ABS or other materials is also possible, of course.

 The limits of printing are determined by your 3D printer. The build volume of your printer defines the maximum possible scale.
 
 
 
 RC compatibility
 
 
 The finished model can be used as an RC boat. Appropriate mounting points for servos and motors are integrated into the hull and are partially printed along with the structure. Separate mounting plates with pre-drilled holes for the front sections are also included and can be printed as needed.
 
 
 Note that this set is not RC-capable, but merely the later completed model of the SS NOMADIC.
 
 
 The images contain a table that converts the boat to various scales. For several scales, it lists the dimensions required for any necessary fittings.
 
 
 The necessary fittings for the boat must be purchased separately.
